First Assignment

So I got an e-mail from my editor today and I have my first assignment-type deal.

Grant County Fair is coming up when I start Monday and I have to think of some video ideas to cover the event. I'm really excited and I can't wait to come in Monday for my first day and already have those ideas ready.

It would also be really awesome to go out and shoot and edit those videos. I'll be working afternoons most of the time, so that'll fit my schedule just right.

Second Day in Indiana

Went to pick up my mother from the airport today and got to go through downtown Indianapolis while we were at it - beautiful! Want to spend a day there if I can just to shop, see sites and whatnot.

One thing I've realized after traveling so far was that...America is beautiful. You often don't see that when you stay within one area for so long. Each place has it's own claim to beauty - Muncie included.

Going to hopefully see some family tomorrow and get my hair cut from a woman who's been cutting my hair since I was 5 and my mother's hair since she was 13! Don't worry, she's still super hip :)

Made it to Indiana

I finally made it after a 16-hour trip. It's almost a blur. I feel like I've done nothing all day, yet here I am 1,000 miles north and if there weren't signs telling me I was entering and leaving states, I wouldn't be able to differentiate among the states.

I am exhausted and I am going to retire to bed. From now-on, I will be updating every day on this blog so check back frequently!
