Ok so now I'm going to provide the full details on my story I'm working on for The Working Press.Hagit Limor sort of had the initial idea to allow laid off SPJ members, who have memberships about to expire, six months extension on their membership. Reality sets in now - something about the air around here.I'll break it down for everyone: my big project got folded into a regular Sunday section due to only three ad sales. Yeah you saw it right - I designed the front page of one of the papers that the Chronicle owns. I designed the front page of the Wabash Plain Dealer for Thursday's paper.I was ecstatic that they let moi, the intern, design such an important portion of the paper. Busy busy busy today at the paper - well not as busy as my co-workers, but much busier than I have been.Had four interviews today - not including the 10 people I interviewed splashing around a water park. So I got an e-mail from my editor today and I have my first assignment-type deal.Grant County Fair is coming up when I start Monday and I have to think of some video ideas to cover the event. Went to pick up my mother from the airport today and got to go through downtown Indianapolis while we were at it - beautiful! I finally made it after a 16-hour trip. It's almost a blur. I feel like I've done nothing all day, yet here I am 1,000 miles north and if there weren't signs telling me I was entering and leaving states, I wouldn't be able to differentiate among the states.I am exhausted and I am going to retire to bed. I hit the road June 7 - anxious to get snacks, clean up car, get the car checked out and program my destination!Got almost everything squared away - I just need to finish registering for my Fall semester classes. UPDATE:I got a second internship with The Working Press in Indianapolis, Ind. This is a huge honor! It's basically a three-day intensive internship in which I'll be producing a paper covering the Society of Professional Journalists national convention. I was one of 12 student journalists selected in the U.S. I will be copy editing for the internship.This is huge for me and I'm so excited to start
